We see blood within the first two minutes which is a convention of a typical horror film, within the first two minutes of the film we establish that this is a horror/drama as there are conventions of a horror and a poetically beautiful feel about the film. Orangey coloured smoke around the credits gives the film a spiritual feel. The dialogue of a man talking about ghosts furthers this.
